In the coming weeks, not only will more of us be given the stay at home order, more cities will be in complete lockdown and quarantine.
I've received many questions from people about this -- asking for a spiritual or higher reason to why this is happening. Whether there is a spiritual reason or not, is not as important as the reality that we are all asked to stay at home and to keep a distance from one another.
Keeping a distance gives us all some space.
Have we been so intrusive into each other's spaces that we need more space? Have we been out so often that we are now forced to look in?
Of course, this situation is perfect for introverts and hermits, it really doesn't make any difference to their lifestyles. But whether you're an introvert or extrovert, a hermit or a party animal now is a perfect time to cultivate self-awareness.
We have ALL, in a way asked for this, we say things like:
These statements or questions can only be answered with some level of self-awareness, so we have all been sent to our rooms by Mother Earth to think about these further and deeper.
Below are some tips on the cultivation of self-awareness. Remember, it is the cultivation of self-awareness, that's what we are aiming for. There is no end result as in what will you get out of this, what will you become, or what will change -- these are not the goals.
Self-awareness is an act and we are focused on the act, not the results. The results will follow and you will know when you get there.
In your journal, write these questions down, take time to ponder upon them, you will not be able to answer them in one sitting, because you need time to observe yourself :
Here are seven to start of, and perhaps you will take months to observe before you have some form of clarity. Self-awareness is a journey to understand self, and it is a journey to take responsibility for everything you have created in your life. It is not about blaming. When more people have self-awareness, everything, all conflicts can be worked out.
Perhaps mother earth is sick and tired of our bickering over small and big things, the mother wants us to think about what we have done to ourselves and others. Perhaps this is the spiritual reason that people are looking for :)
Peace out.
